Nothing soothes the ills of life quite like a spot of pampering, whether it’s a quick manicure, a relaxing hand massage or a make-over to finally learn how to master the smoky eye.
Everyone needs to be reminded of their beauty, and given a space to relax and be pampered, and many care homes would welcome you volunteering to spend a little time bringing that girl’s night in feel to the people they work with. Whether you’re a keen amateur with more bottles of nail varnish than your local salon, a professional beautician with years of experience, or just learning the arts of aromatherapy oils and massage, there is something you can do. An hour spent restoring hard-worked hands to soft and scarlet-tipped glory can lift the spirits like nothing else.
